Healthiest Voyage Rankings for GI Illness

Constant abberations in GI Illness rates may indicate weak health related risk management processes defined by the cruise line and implemented on the cruise ship. To help ensure a healthy cruising environment, some advice to potential passengers booking their next cruise follows.

First, check the health performance of the cruise ship for several years using the Cruising Healthy Annual Voyage Logs. Second, check the cruise port as some ports have a much greater GI Illness health risk than others. Third, if you have reservations regarding either the cruise ship or port, check the overall performance of the cruise line.

  • Voyage that terminate (disembark) in non-U.S. ports
  • Same day voyages (those without an overnight stay).
  • Voyages lasting more than 21 days if the CDC does not report them in their database.
